So Much Love in Every Stroke of the Brush

Jessica’s Inspiration for her Art

Jessica has always been an Artist. She loves being creative. Jessica is known as a Watercolorist. She embraced watercolor in 2009 after she entered into a builder defect lawsuit with the builders that built her new home. The new house crumbled around her and her family.  Her way to stay calm was to go to her happy place… and that was to paint. It was a very hard time for her but through her art she was able to express herself and step into her gift…her creativity. She painted rain or shine but painted every week and is presently still painting. She has enjoyed a wide variety of topics for her paintings. She really listened to whatever inspired her and what she felt that she was guided to paint. She loves having sweet aromas in the air and peaceful music playing in the background. She is known to put on Celtic, Italian, or Hawaiian music to help her drift away to a place where she calls her center. That is where she finds the light to paint her pictures.

Around this time, she also found herself writing in her journals. She wrote everyday as another way to stay peaceful and a way to help her collect her thoughts. Oftentimes, her writing went along with whatever she was painting. Stories fell out on the pages. She started to put her art and her writings together and it felt like her Whimsical Magical place. It felt like a natural blending of her talents.

Jessica has always been an artist and has embraced watercolor as her medium. She has been told that it is the hardest medium in which to paint, but she loves how the water moves on the paper with different techniques. For example wet on wet.  She loves to take classes and is constantly learning. Watercolor never feels boring but instead translucent and alive. It makes Jessica feel alive to paint in this medium. She says she will never stop learning in this medium.  She even loves the sound the brush makes, as it swishes in the water. She loves to be inspired by great painting light, high quality paper, and good brushes, then off she goes!! Jessica hopes that her inspirational art reaches many and is enjoyed throughout the world. She loves receiving pictures of her paintings hanging on walls all over the world!
